The Duchess of Edinburgh visits Chad in central Africa, amid a growing humanitarian crisis being faced by the people of Sudan.

Duchess Sophie wore a red wrap dress from Ghost featuring a white crescent moon and star print. The floaty number with long sleeves and an ankle-skimming skirt was teamed with a pair of heeled wedges from Penelope Chilvers.

Tears streaming down her face, the Duchess of Edinburgh emerged from the makeshift clinic into the oven-like central African heat and stood on her own by the side of the tent for a few moments in order to compose herself.
