Foldable phones can be an expensive proposition, but with Amazon Prime Big Deal Days upon us, this could be your chance to pick up a folding device for less. Some of the best foldable phones have seen their prices drop in advance of Amazon's two-day sales event — including the price of our top-ranked model.

As if dumb phones aren’t already cheap, some are getting a deeper discount with Amazon’s Big Deal Days event that kicks off October 8, 2024. Even in advance of the sale, there are bargains on this type of simplified phone, which is typically priced under $100 (cell carriers typically make most of their money on your monthly service fee.)

Amazon.com Inc. said Thursday its Prime Big Deal Days was its biggest October shopping event ever, as Prime members took advantage of early holiday deals, pushing sales and number of items sold higher than during previous promotions.

Foldable phones are notoriously expensive, but as we’ve seen in the last couple of years, they’ve been going down dramatically. The Motorola Razr 2023 is proof of that when it launched last year at $699. During October Prime Day going on right now, it’s down to $349 as an unlocked model.

During the Amazon October Prime Day sale, however, the prices on Samsung's latest foldable phones are getting some pretty significant discounts that almost make them affordable. Both the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 are currently discounted for Prime Big Deal Days.
