Major League Baseball rounded out their 2025 All-Star Game rosters on Sunday, and good things come in threes for New York’s representation in Atlanta. Pete Alonso and Edwin Diaz will join Francisco Lindor in representing the Mets on the National League team,

Alonso and the Mets will close out the first half with two three-game sets on the road: one against the Baltimore Orioles that starts on Tuesday, and then the other against the Kansas City Royals.

After winning titles in 2019 and 2021, Mets first baseman Pete Alonso will end his five-year streak and pass on the July 14 Home Run Derby in Atlanta.

Upon losing in the first round of last year’s Home Run Derby, Pete Alonso called the Derby “an event that I’ve really admired since I was a kid,” adding: “There’s definitely more in there for sure.” B
