BOSTON — Matt Poitras was running out of gas when he collected the puck just inside the offensive blue in front of the Bruins bench.

Matt Poitras, playing in his first game in over eight months, impressed in Boston's 2-1 overtime win over the Kings Saturday.

Poitras is stronger, hungrier, just as skilled and far more confident than when he exited the lineup early last season.

David Pastrnak scored 3:07 into overtime, and the Boston Bruins beat the Los Angeles Kings 2-1. It was Pastrnak’s third goal in Boston’s first three games.
