Bala aka Balakumar, best known for his roles in Malayalam and Tamil cinema, has been arrested on a complaint by his ex-wife Amrutha Suresh.

Malayalam actor Bala has been arrested after his ex-wife, singer Amritha Suressh, filed a complaint against him. The Kadavanthra Police swung into action on Monday after Suressh accused Bala of defaming her and their daughter on his social media platforms.

Actor Bala's driver, who has been the eye witness in the case, also accepted that the actor used to ill-treat Amrutha Suresh.
