A t least five people were killed and 36 others were wounded in shootings across Chicago during the Fourth of July weekend, according to police. The ages of the victims range from 16 to 52.

Two mass shootings made up a large portion of those injured despite Wednesday's mass shooting — which left four dead and 14 injured — not being in the tally.

In too many Chicago neighborhoods, the Fourth of July weekend brought tragedy. Dozens of people were shot and several of them died.
