A family made another trip to Texas' Hill Country with donations provided by people in the Greater Houston area. FOX 26's Leslie DelasBour caught up with the family before they left.

According to local authorities, at least 109 people died on July 4 and 5, most of which were swept up in floodwaters from campgrounds along the Guadalupe River. That’s just shy of the 118 deaths reported as a result of Hurricane Rita in 2005.
Prominent Houston criminal defense attorney Randy Schaffer is mourning the loss of his wife, Mollie Schaffer, after the couple was swept up in the catastrophic Hill Country floods over the July 4 weekend.
The Humane Society from Houston and North Texas went to Central Texas to pick up over 100 dogs and cats from the flood rubble.

Hemp regulation, property taxes and natural disaster preparation and response -- in the wake of deadly flooding in Central Texas -- also are among the governor's priorities for the special legislative session that starts July 21.
"Amid so much sorrow, we are inspired by the strength of the Texas community as it comes together during this incredibly difficult time," the group said.
